Smart Construction Manager is an R&D project aimed at improving construction-site management, supply-chain control, and material traceability through advanced digital technologies. The project focuses on the design of a cognitive digital twin for construction works, integrating heterogeneous data sources, BIM-related information, sensors, data lakes, microservices, and AI-based analytics. Its main objectives include real-time monitoring of construction progress, stock and resource optimisation, predictive modelling for planning and quality control, scenario simulation, blockchain-based smart contracts, and traceability systems to reduce waste on site. The research contributes to the digital transformation of the construction sector by enabling more transparent, data-driven, and efficient decision-making across contractors, suppliers, and construction stakeholders.
